Garratt Industries Has Proudly Been Manufacturing Seed Cleaning Equipment and Designing Seed Processing Facilities Since 1986.

Our Story

Garratt Industries originated when Lyle Garratt, the founder, constructed his initial gravity table to address deficiencies in the equipment acquired for his personal seed plant. By utilizing local suppliers and applying practical innovation, his gravity table design significantly contributed to the production of award-winning pedigreed seed for more than twenty-five years.

What initially started as a single Gravity Table has evolved into a comprehensive range of offerings. Presently, our manufacturing capabilities include Air screens, Destoners, Pre-cleaners, and various other components for seed cleaning.

Garratt Industries remains a family-owned enterprise, currently overseen by KC Garratt, with the involvement of a third generation in its operations.

History

Garratt Industries is apart of the Agriculture Manufactures of Canada and is one of the only companies who not only deal but manufacture seed cleaning equipment right here in Canada.

Garratt Industries mainly serves North America although we do have machines as far away as Asia. In the 35+ years of operations we have manufactured 1000’s of machines. Of those 1000’s of machines many have 10’s of thousands of hours on them.

Our Roots

Garratt Farms is a 6th generation family grain farm and Garratt Industries is a 2nd generation (with a 3rd generation becoming involved) family-owned business. Prior to the manufacturing of seed cleaning equipment, we began growing seed in 1972 .We have been in the business of farming, seed growing and manufacturing for a long time.

Garratt’s play a large role in the community. KC is Currently the volunteer fire chief in the town of Milestone. Organizations which we have sponsored and continue to but are not limited to include: Milestone Rink, Telemiracle, and Stars Air Ambulance.
