Garratt Industries Grain & Seed Cleaning Equipment

Garratt Parallel Flow Air Screens

An Air Screen is used to separate different sizes of material. Uses include sizing, separating weed seeds, dirt, and grains by seed size from a desired product. Garratt PF Air Screens fit into just about any setting.

The Garratt Parallel Flow Air Screen has been engineered to meet the high capacity cleaning requirements of today's producers. All Garratt Air Screens are fitted with an optional extra large air settlings chamber targeting both top and bottom air, setting the industry standard for aspirating ability.

We offer two almost identical Parallel Flow Air Screens, the Garratt PF 144 which has 144 square feet of screen area and the Garratt PF 216 which has 216 square feet of screen area. The only difference between the two is the 144 has two decks of screens per shoe while the 216 has three.

Features and Benefits of a Garratt Parallel Flow Air Screen

Air Settlings Chamber

The extra-large air settlings chamber allows for precise air setting changes. The operator has the ability to decide how much product they are removing using air using easy mechanical settings and as well as variable feeder drives. If a remote fan option is chosen we slightly alter our air settlings chamber.

Blower

Both come complete with two high-capacity blowers driven side-by-side using a 10-horsepower motor. Eliminating the need for additional blowers. Although if you choose to we can remove our blowers and you can install blowers independent (remote fan) from our Air Screen.

Feeder

Our Air Screens come with two feeder options. Option one uses a weighted vibrating feeder pan which is driven from the main shaft. Expensive drives are not required. Our second option is a vibratory feeder which can be controlled using a variable feeder drive. This feeder is independent and the feeder pan is counter-balanced.

Smooth Operation

Garratt Air Screens are designed to meet the high-efficiency requirements of our customers.  We offer easily changeable screens which are cleaned using ball trays and rubber balls. The 144 and 216 are both very well-balanced, two identical shoes on opposite throws become a counter-balanced motion resulting in even and long-lasting operation of the machine.

Split Flow

Garratt Parallel Flow Air Screens are both a 50/50 split flow design with 50 percent off all material on the top shoe and 50 percent on the bottom shoe.

Heavy Frame

Like all other Garratt Equipment, our Air Screens are built heavy. This is in an attempt to reduce vibrations and increase the longevity of our equipment.

Features of Only Our 216 Parallel Flow Air Screen

Large Capacity

The Garratt PF 216 has a very large screen area. This allows you to achieve high capacity while not forgoing quality.

Double Scalp and Grade

The three sets of screen decks per shoe on the Garratt PF 216 allows the operator the ability to use that middle screen to grade or double scalp. This ensures your sifting screen (bottom) is not overloaded.

Add-ons

We offer a gearbox-driven screw drag and vibratory conveyors to transport material from the rear discharge of our Air Screens and we will build cyclones as well. We also carry other options.
