Garratt Industries Grain & Seed Cleaning Equipment

Garratt Gravity Tables

A Gravity Table is used to separate grains of similar size by different weights. It accomplishes this by combining large air flow, shake and tilt.

Garratt PRO-Series Gravity Tables are comprehensive user friendly machines complete with multiple motors and a vibratory trough - an all inclusive machine that offers more flexibility than ever before.

We currently offer two sizes of Gravity Tables a 2410 PRO-Series model and a 2512 Pro-Series model. Specifications below*

Features and Benefits of a Garratt Gravity Table

Adjustments

Shake speed, fan speed, deck pitch and all major operating adjustments can easily be made on the go (see below). The 4 fans on the 2512 can create up to 14,000 CFM while the 3 Fans on the 2410 can create up to 7,500 CFM.

Heavy Frame

Like all Garratt Equipment the Gravity Tables are built heavy. The 1/4″ thick steel frame provides extra stability and reduced vibration which can increase the lifespan of the machine.

Deck

Our deck design features a large rectangular cleaning deck with riffle strips to provide more traction, resulting in superior separation. The deck is low enough to monitor the performance of the machine from floor level (unless placed on stand). The deck is fastened using easy to use centre clamps, this allows for easy deck changeover, clean out, troubleshooting, etc. We offer a wide range of stainless and urethane coated screens.

Superior Separation

The Garratt Gravity Table features a rectangular deck that is designed to keep the light material travelling across the deck for a greater distance. This allows more time for the material to stratify resulting in better separation and a cleaner final sample. The Garratt Gravity Table is an effective final cleaning unit for any seed processing facility and a vital piece of equipment for any food processing facility. It is an effective separator of fines as well as infected or poorer quality seed.

Kick Down

The automatic kick down paired with a sensor feature eliminates contamination concerns from flow slowing or stopping. The sensor will transmit information to the variable frequency drive to slow down to a preset programmable speed, this prevents unwanted light product climbing to the heavy side when the machine is going empty. When normal flow resumes the shake speed will return to its previous setting.

Precise Controls

Other gravity tables use a baffle system to control air flow and flow rate.  The Garratt Gravity Table is controlled by fan speed using VFD’s. The variable speed fan control allows for extremely precise adjustments to airflow and more responsive results on the table. Using the variable features such as shake and multiple air settings allows you to better control the depth of your product on the table.

Counterbalancing

All Garratt Gravity Tables are countered balanced which makes the unit suitable for portables, second floor installation, and even short stand installation.

Common Components

Garratt Gravity Tables use common components that can be purchased at almost any local supply store.
